Interface
Our philosophy is that an application needs to understand the user. Not the other way around. At the same time it should challenge its user to be as creative as possible. So not only does The Cockpit allow you to create and publish a show or newscast, it also enables you to produce your own channel through your blog or website. Giving you a unique privilege to act as director, producer, editor and actor. On its interface the application has 3 major areas or environments. These areas are Backstage, Studio and Publisher. Each environment is a replica of the real surroundings of media publishing, so you can have the experience of working professionally in a media office.

The BackstageThe Backstage allows the user to create the content before proceeding into “The Studio”. In this section you can gather and prepare the material for the your video. This panel displays the text editor and the image storeroom. Simply create the script that you want to say in your video and enrich it with image, slideshow or video. In brief, this panel is the editorial section of the application. |

The StudioThe Studio is the area where you can continue with the generated material to create the video. In this area you can record and add visual and audio effects such as overlays, backgrounds, sound clips, etc. to the show in order to make it more lively and dynamic. When you record your video the interface will switch into a "full-screen" mode where you can only see the teleprompter and yourself. This allows you to concentrate on the teleprompter without any distraction |

The PublisherThe Publisher is the area to publish the video that has been perfected and ready to be presented. The Publisher lets you modify or adjust the format and quality of the result. Video compression, file transfer and thumbnail creation are handled automatically. Other than saving in video format there are also other options of saving formats such as audio (.mp3, .wmp, etc.) to allow the video to be converted into other forms such as slideshow or podcast. Once you're done, publish it to any blog or website that you want! |
